Snack-y Snack

Well it’s Wednesday! Happy Hump Day, y’all!

Someone was making herself very comfy on the bed this morning. Oh, to be a kitty cat!

I had a smoothie-in-a-bowl around 8:30 a.m. – there’s something satisfying about eating a smoothie with a spoon. My blend was a banana, a scoop of Protein One vanilla, about 1/2 C of almond milk, ice, vanilla, and cinnamon. I topped it with a spoonful of peanut butter (not pictured because it sunk to the bottom!) and some Nature’s Path Organic Pumpkin Flax Granola. I fully intended to add some spinach to this smoothie, but I forgot!

Around 11, I was hungry again, so I made my first “snack-y snack” of the day and had two rice cakes with peanut butter and honey. I went ahead and counted my snack as part of lunch

About an hour after my snack, I had lunch – I boiled two eggs, roasted some broccoli and served it with hummus, salsa, and light Fiesta ranch, and I also added half of a baby avocado with salt.

Luke and I did weights today, and it was a fun mashup of arms and legs (and chest for him!). I was in a so-so mood upon arrival at Planet Fitness, but I immediately felt better once I started lifting … I really got my heart rate up.

At 5, I was snacky again, so I had the first part of my dinner – sauteed broccoli and zucchini with dipping sauces (yeah, yeah, I admit it … I have a problem with dipping sauces).

The main part of my dinner was some deer sausage, a slice of Provolone cheese, BBQ, and a goodly handful of grapes.

For dessert, I did something a little different and made a hot chocolate with almond milk … YUM!

Now I’m watching Expedition Unknown and doing some light housework.Β  I’m calling it a night! xoxo

  1. All this food looks amazing! I recently am obsessed with avocado smoothies in the morning! 1/2 avocado, 2 oz. coconut water, 2 oz. almond milk, a few ice cubes, and 1/2 container of toasted coconut vanilla yogurt! You would lovvve it, girlfriend!


    1. Oh, how yummy, Mackenzie! I’d LOVE to try an avocado smoothie … I’ve toyed with the idea of adding avocado to my smoothies, but I never have! Thank you for giving me some inspiration, I have an avocado right now that needs to be used up, so I think I’ll try it! πŸ™‚ Thank you for commenting, you’re my first comment!
