Howdy there and Happy Friday! How are you? I’m trying to up my protein game today. As my husband said, I need less veggies and more protein to gain muscle weight. I’m stuck at 125 lbs, and I want to be around 135 lbs and muscular, so that’s my long term goal. No gym today, however, my legs and ass were SORE from yesterday’s lifting session, and Luke was sore too, so we declared it a rest day.
Luke woke up and announced that he needs a new phone (his old one is not wanting to connect to the Internet, and he’s been having trouble with it for a while now). He angrily searched the Internet for a new one while munching on Frosted Mini-Wheats, and it was hilarious.
Breakfast this morning was 2 slices of Dave’s Killer Bread (thin sliced) with black raspberry jam and butter along with threes scrambled eggs – protein! – with S+P and spinach. Coffee to drink. My breakfast held me over until lunch, which is a great thing!
I spent the morning watching Dead Files re-runs, cleaning up the apartment, and telling myself that I’m *not* getting fat. My weight has been stable for a while now, and I need to accept that I’m not fat, but my eating disordered brain likes to play tricks on me, especially when I have a full stomach.
Lunch was a reprise of yesterday’s dinner – a turkey taco salad with ground turkey (protein!), corn, beans (protein!), romaine, red bell pepper, cucumber, Fritos, salsa, bacon cheddar ranch dressing, and some mozzarella. I just love my taco salads, y’all. They’re delicious and nutritious, with just the right amount of crunch from the Fritos. Licorice mint tea with stevia to drink. A very tasty and filling lunch.
Luke got some positive news today about his motorcycle … he *finally* got his check today, and we hope to buy his new one next Saturday. I wore my new gray bodysuit (hello, $5 at Target!) and my Relvon Matte Balm in Spectaculair and felt relatively pretty despite feeling very bloated.
Dinner tonight was Parmesan Chicken Casserole with fresh basil and parsley infused sauce (with a bit of crushed red pepper for a kick) served with cauliflower and broccoli roasted with EVOO, garlic, and Parmesan. Please forgive the messy dish in the picture, that sauce was blotchy! I *loved* the sauce, shredded mozzarella, and veggies together, that was my favorite part of the meal – YUMMY. Mango-infused vitamin water to drink.
I do think that I need to eat a little less at meals, and that’s my goal for tomorrow – eat a little less but more often and focus on protein. I’m just still having tummy troubles when it comes to feeling sickly and bloated after eating my bigger meals, so I think I’ll tone them down and try to eat more frequently. Lunch and dinner were rough to get through for me today, so I have to modify something, I think!
I’m off to check on Boomer one more time, and I’m planning on having a cup of coffee tonight. Persephone wishes you all a great Friday night! 🙂
