Howdy there! How are you doing? It’s still a drizzly, cold day here in the Texas Panhandle … boo. I can’t believe it’s already almost October, y’all. September just flew by for me!
I’m trying to focus on more protein, less carbs, less sugar in my diet. I don’t eat much sugar, so that’s positive, but I surely do have my carb cravings (bagels, anyone?). Today I weighed, and I’m about 122 … that means I’ve gained 12 lbs! Hooray!
Breakfast – 10:00 a.m.
This morning I wasn’t hungry until later, but I had two pieces of bacon with egg whites and salsa. I didn’t finish all of the egg whites as I made a ton of them, but that’s okay. I was full and satisfied from what I did eat.
I portioned out 6 oz of chicken breast, seasoned it with S+P and BBQ sauce, and added some Brussels Sprouts, carrots, and broccoli to my baking sheet and baked it all at 350 for 30 minutes. Easy peasy meal that was delicious! I drizzled the veg with some Toasted Sesame Ginger dressing (one of my favorites).
Soon after lunch, Luke and I braved the dreary rain and drove to Planet Fitness to do legs. Luke hates leg day and bitched heartily the entire time, which I thought was hilarious.
We stayed about 45 minutes, and I did ALL of the leg machines at 4 sets each (and one ab machine which kicked my ass). I’ve definitely lost some muscle in my legs due to my recent relapse with anorexia, but I’m trying to build them back and go even beyond that.
Snack #1 – 4:00 p.m.
I started getting hungry, so I cut up some red bell pepper and carrots, put salt on them, and placed them in a container of hummus. Delicious!
After my snack, I did 150 reps with my 10 lb weights, just for kicks.
Cocktail Hour – 5:00 p.m.
As per usual, I had my little “cocktail hour” at 5:00 with a GT’s Hibiscus Ginger Kombucha. I love savoring my kombucha and drink it for about an hour. Since I no longer drink alcohol, it’s fun to have a mocktail to drink each day. 😉
Dinner tonight was a large mish-mash of steamed spinach, spaghetti squash, turkey seasoned with salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and parsley, all topped with some store bought vodka sauce. I was starving, so I ate the entire thing.
